Description
“My Background, Assignment, Failures, Pains, Tears, Joys, Milestones and Aspirations. The Journey So Far”.
Life is a mosaic of stories. A mosaic is a picture produced by arranging small pieces of stones, glass, tiles or other materials. Equally, the mosaic of life is created through a combination of experiences. The best communicators all over the world use stories to create a mosaic embedded with so many lessons. The world’s best-selling book, the Bible, is a collection of stories. We remember the stories and parables more than the principles and points taught in the book. Through my years spent in professional speaking, training, coaching and establishing small enterprises, I have witnessed first-hand the impact of stories in inspiring and empowering people. It is one of the best approaches to motivating a person. A common feature of my motivational sessions is to make my life an open book that everyone can glean something from and secure their flight to the heights of personal success and fulfilment. The best motivational speakers always have a personal story to tell. In fact, that is one of the most important motivations for beginning the journey.
I consider myself a product of the wisdom from the stories of other great people. My library is filled with their biographies. Just as I have been inspired and taught wisdom through the stories of these great ones, so do I want many others to be inspired and instructed in their individual quest to be successful – my primary objective for authoring this biography.
My goal is that this book will serve as a resource for anyone studying social entrepreneurship and the principles required for the pursuit of dreams and visions.
Secondly, I have written this book to give readers a perspective on decision-making in the pursuit of a vision or a lifetime goal under very complex and unchartered circumstances. In the pursuit of any vision, dream or a lifetime career many of the decisions that you will be required to make are tough calls that come with varied alternatives.
Throughout this book I describe the principles and values I followed and I hope they will prove useful to you as you weigh the options in your own life. If the setting of the mosaic of your life is a village; if the actors in this mosaic include a parent who passed away when you were young, a parent who was illiterate, poor and not empowered, yes, if the mosaic includes external family relations who were unsupportive and antagonistic; if it includes struggling to get an education or achieve a goal in spite of poverty; if it includes attempting something that has never been done before and if it includes a season of indebtedness, depression and even an attempt at suicide, then you will find this book useful.
